This story comes from 5th grade student, Elijah:
Once upon a time there was a boy named Elijah who was going to be the greatest at riding hoverboards, but first he had to learn. One day Elijah made a list of how to ride a hoverboard. Some of the steps were:
- How to get on without falling
- How to balance it
- How to go forward and backward
Soon he was proficient at riding hoverboards. One Christmas Elijah thought he was so good he tried to lie down on his hoverboard. But he overestimated his skills. The hoverboard started vibrating and then spinning out of control and then it stopped. Elijah started again and was heading for the Christmas tree and rammed it. His mom mother’s lamp fell over, but it didn’t break; his life was almost at risk.
After this close call Elijah was more careful, riding the hoverboard only in the basement now. At least for a while. Meanwhile outside his family heard a big boom!!! So, they all rushed outside to discover the noise, but the last person forgot to shut the door. And someone walked in and stole Elijah’s hoverboard while everybody was seeing what happened and guess what it was a firework. When Elijah went back in he found his hoverboard had been taken. The next day Elijah went to his friend Jeremey house and when he went there Elijah told Jeremey,” Someone stole my hoverboard”, with a sad face. That was the end of The Hoverboard Boy.
