Tutors now have a fashionable yet practical way to carry books, notebooks, and even laptops to use with their students: tote bags emblazoned with the name and logo of Cluster Tutoring.
Cluster is the recipient of a $500 award from Marco Promotional Products, a company that develops personalized products for companies and nonprofit organizations. Marco Promos regularly chooses “Difference Makers” that help others as award recipients.
“You work each day to improve the lives of children, teenagers, adults, seniors, or any of God’s other creatures,” the company says on its website. “You may work in a school, hospital, church, senior center, or animal shelter. Your cause needs support. Here is where Team MARCO may be able to help; each week, $500 in promotional products are awarded to a deserving 501(c)(3) organization.”
Executive Director Kara Kalnitz and the Cluster Tutoring Board decided to use the award for the lightweight tote bags. The bags are roomy and sturdy enough to hold a variety of educational materials and can be carried over one shoulder. Another handy aspect is that the bags can be folded up into a small corner for compact storage.
