Cluster Tutoring is looking for students, tutors, and parents to help us make donuts at the Oak Park Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 20. The Farmers’ Market is at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 460 Lake Street in Oak Park. The program can earn $1,000 for just one day of work.
We are looking for Cluster volunteers to work one of several shifts. The first shifts start at 4 a.m., and the last shifts end about 1:30. Each donut shift is roughly 2 1/2 to 3 hours long.
The benefits include free donuts as well as the knowledge that you’re helping to raise money for a program you support. Plus, it’s a lot of fun — ask any donut volunteer.
We need help in all areas of the donut-making process: Frying, boxing, coating donuts with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar, and clean-up.
Students as well as adults are welcome to help. Past helpers have included everyone from students and their families to tutors to Cluster board members.
If you’re out of town that Saturday or are not able to help out as a donut volunteer, you can still help by spreading the word to friends, family, and neighbors to buy Farmers’ Market donuts on July 20. The sale of every donut helps raise money for Cluster.
