FAFSA forms are now being accepted

High school seniors and their families now can submit FAFSA forms to the federal government to apply for college financial aid for the 2020-21 school year.

FAFSA, or the Free Application for Financial Student Aid, is the form students must fill out and submit to apply for free for federal and state student grants, work-study, and loans. Oct. 1 marked the first date when submissions would be accepted. Although FAFSA forms can be submitted through June 30, 2020, many states and colleges have submission deadlines in October 2019.

You can find out more on how to apply at the official FAFSA website, which also explains how to fill out the form online. You can access a hard copy of the FAFSA form at this link.

This video explains how to fill out the form and contains information on what documents are needed, how to create and user name and password, and much more information.
