Fresh produce and more every Thursday in Austin

Forty Acres Fresh Market is hosting an Austin City Market every Thursday afternoon featuring fresh fruits and vegetables and other food from local vendors.

The market is open from 1-6 p.m. at Austin Town Hall, 5610 W. Lake St., every Thursday until Sept. 17. All vendors at the market accept SNAP/EBT, Link, and Link Match. Produce prices are kept low to make fresh food available to the Austin community.

Recent markets featured seasonal favorites such as apricots, cherries, blueberries, plums, watermelon, and more. Some of the produce comes from Finding Justice Farm, an urban garden on the West Side run by Artema Plunkett. Recently featured produce from the farm included collard greens and beets.

You can learn more about Forty Acres Fresh Market, which also offers delivery of fresh produce, at its website.
