Students can avoid the summer slump and get a jump on next year’s studies by signing up for Cluster Tutoring’s Summer Reading Program.
This program, available for students currently in grades K-6, focuses on improving reading skills in fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. It also will encourage students to develop a love of reading.
The Summer Reading Program will meet from 6-7:45 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 25 through Aug. 8 at First United Church of Oak Park, 848 Lake St. There will be no class the week of July 1. The cost of the program is $25 per student.
Groups will be taught by trained teachers and program aides. Enrollment is limited, so sign up soon. Parents can sign up students online at this link.
